Sales Person can Pick Customer from a Common Pool.

1. From your Main Dashboard, go to Common Data and click on Customer

2. Click on Customer tab 

3. Select the Assign To = "Unassigned"

4. From Customer listing in the Table, click 

5. In Customer Detail Page, click on

Once you have Picked this Customer, it's  belongs to you and will no longer available under Common Pool
